"The Trip" is a week long family adventure operated by the same company you sign up with, Costa Rican Resource. It is a true week long adventure designed to give an true adventure feel while being perfect for the experienced or first time adventurer.

Our Background

With over 15 years in the industry CRR has been a pioneer in the family adventure industry offering a unique and authentic experience. Our expertise in group and private travel is a result of our guides and staff. Our guides make up some of Costa Rica's top adventure guides whom have traveled the world in rafting competitions and made guiding a true passion into a profession. Our office staff is made up of years of experience and knowledge of Costa Rica that allows the chance to design the perfect package for groups or families.

Unlike many in Costa Rica CRR is not only the tour agency but we are the actual tour operator of all the adventures you will be on. Our guides teach you how to surf, they raft you down the river, take you on the ziplines, and cook your meals out in our very own world renown rainforest lodge on the famous Pacuare River.

CRR was started by Tom Ranieri who moved down to work in Costa Rica at the age of 21 as a whitewater raft guide and fell inlove with the River Pacuare. He is passionate about showing travelers the beauty of Costa Rica while always involving a "real life" experience of time with the locals which happens to be his favorite part and reason for living in rural Costa Rica!
